Kitchen-living room design
The design of this apartment is a complete manual how to make a small apartment functional, spacious and looks «expensive».
The apartment located in the Faina Town housing complex in Kiev, we designed for a young couple. The objective was to convert a small apartment 29м2 into a kitchen-living room and separate bedroom. There were also supposed to be two additional sleeping places for guests and obligatory presence of wood, as well as blue – the customer’s favorite color.

To use every inch, we removed all the walls from the builder and built new ones. At the same time, we increased the kitchen-living room area at the expense of the bedroom. We had to give up swinging doors, replacing them with sliding ones.

The kitchen was limited in width, but there was an opportunity to deepen and pigeonhole it. This allowed us to add useful space in the upper and lower cabinets, as well as make additional shelves in place of the kitchen apron. It was also possible to incorporate a dishwasher and washing machine into the kitchen.

We hung roller blinds on the large panoramic windows, as they are best suited for small rooms, without taking up space and emphasizing the overall concept of minimalism. Additional sleeping space for guests was created by a compact convertible sofa.

One of the main accents of the interior are the designer wallpaper, which make the interior bright and bring an element of art into the design.
All the furniture is designed specifically for this interior and is made by Ukrainian manufacturers.
The use of built-in elements such as lights, door systems and cabinets to the ceiling, make the space visually spacious, and give the interior height and grandeur.
