Living Kitchen Design
We got a spacious two-room apartment from the developer, an area of 78 m2 with large panoramic windows and city views. The feeling of spaciousness became the main value of the home and we decided to continue this trend in interior design.
So, we faced the task of creating the most open space in the public area of the kitchen-living room and corridor, as well as conceptualizing the space, combining the style and technology in it, which would be ideal for a modern young couple.

To do this, we slightly redesigned the room, replacing the wall of foamed concrete block between the kitchen and the hallway with veneered slats, which overlap with the texture of wall panels in the living room area and furniture elements in the kitchen area, as well as with flooring.
Thus, we have a solid, light-pierced space that contains a living room, a dining room and a kitchen, separated from the corridor by a partition of slats decorated with natural wood veneer that successfully contrasts and complements the rest of the smooth walls.
Each area in the room is designed by professional selected lighting. So, for example, there is a main lighting that evenly illuminates the entire room and supplementary lighting. Supplementary lighting, as furniture lighting, is implemented in the working area of the kitchen and in the form of pendant lights above the dining table.

All the necessary equipment was placed in the kitchen: built-in refrigerator, oven, microwave, wine cabinet. The dining group is represented by extendable table for 4-8 people and soft comfortable chairs.

In the living area, the furniture consists of a hanging TV stand and a large modular sofa that turns into a double bed. This “magic” sofa creates a relaxing atmosphere in the living room, allowing you to not only watch TV, but also enjoy the view from the windows.

The starting point for creating the concept was geometric clearly structured shapes. They are vividly displayed in black and white stripes in the tiles of kitchen work zone, furniture elements such as handles, the shape of vertical veneered battens and are emphasized with the decor – pillows and paintings. White color, applied almost everywhere, made the interior easy, emphasizing the graphic, flash-colored and textured materials.

The thing about creating this project is that communication and coordination of all stages took place remotely, because the object was not in Kiev, and field supervision took place via Skype and Viber. Very much attention had to be paid to logistics. Nevertheless, both parties were satisfied – both with a successful implementation process, and with the result that they received.
